Not Everyone Is Lost — Some Are Just Searching

When I dropped out of university, many people around me thought I had lost my way. To them, I was
the girl who couldn’t finish what she started, who wandered too much, who was “different.” But deep
down, I knew something they didn’t: I hadn’t lost my way — I was just searching. Searching for myself,
for my own truth, for the rhythm of life that resonated with me.
Sometimes, breaking away from the path laid out for you is the most honest step you can take. I wasn’t
going to finish university just because others said I should. I wasn’t going to get married just because “it
was time.” I wanted to choose. I wanted to live consciously. And yes, sometimes choosing your own
path means walking alone — but that solitude gives rise to the deepest growth.
Life is not a straight road. It's a winding trail, filled with unexpected turns, uphill climbs, and long pauses.
And in those pauses, you find yourself. That’s how it was for me. I paused, I wandered, I asked. And
eventually, I returned — not just to university, but to myself.
Not all who pause are lost. Not all who wander are aimless. Some of us are seekers. And seekers don’t
get their meaning handed to them; they create it step by step, choice by choice. In a world that worships
speed and certainty, choosing to search slowly, mindfully, and inwardly is an act of quiet rebellion.
Purposeful Learning offers a safe space for those who are still asking questions. It doesn’t expect you to
have all the answers — it only asks that you remain sincere. It’s okay if you’ve paused, if you’ve started
late, if you’ve taken detours. All of it belongs to your journey.
So, if you feel “behind,” don’t worry. Perhaps you’re not lost — maybe you’re just one of us: the
seekers. And in a world running on autopilot, that is the greatest kind of freedom.
